Our Wedding

Mina and Caleb met online — specifically, over a game of Dungeons &amp; Dragons, which is either the most niche meet-cute imaginable or proof that the right quest leads you somewhere unexpected. Somewhere between slaying monsters and debating character builds, something real started to take shape. Their first in-person meeting came when Mina's computer broke down and Caleb showed up to fix it. Helpful? Yes. Convenient? Suspiciously so. What began in a virtual world turned into something very, very real — including their biggest adventure to date: their daughter, Ruby. (Final boss. Absolute chaos. 10/10 would recommend.) Now they're ready to close out this chapter and start the next, the right way, surrounded by the people they love most.

Getting Here By Air Your best bet is Richmond International Airport (RIC) — just 15–20 minutes from downtown, easy to navigate, and blissfully un-chaotic as airports go.If you're hunting for better flight deals or connections, these are also within driving distance: Washington Dulles (IAD) — ~2 hoursRonald Reagan National (DCA) — ~1.5–2 hours Getting Around Uber and Lyft are plentiful in Richmond, so you won't be stranded. If you're planning to venture beyond the city center or just like the freedom of your own wheels, a rental car is a solid call. Where to Stay We recommend planting yourself in or near downtown Richmond — it puts you close to all the wedding festivities at Maymont Park and The Tobacco Company, plus the best of what the city has to offer. Hollywood CemeterySounds morbid, looks breathtaking. Perched above the James River, it's the resting place of two U.S. presidents and has some of the most dramatic views in the city. Scott's AdditionRichmond's former warehouse district turned coolest neighborhood. Breweries, cideries, a meadery, and an axe-throwing bar — all within walking distance of each other.
