Getting Here
By Air
Your best bet is Richmond International Airport (RIC) — just 15–20 minutes from downtown, easy to navigate, and blissfully un-chaotic as airports go.
If you're hunting for better flight deals or connections, these are also within driving distance:
Washington Dulles (IAD) — ~2 hours
Ronald Reagan National (DCA) — ~1.5–2 hours
Getting Around Uber and Lyft are plentiful in Richmond, so you won't be stranded. If you're planning to venture beyond the city center or just like the freedom of your own wheels, a rental car is a solid call.
Where to Stay We recommend planting yourself in or near downtown Richmond — it puts you close to all the wedding festivities at Maymont Park and The Tobacco Company, plus the best of what the city has to offer.
A few options we love:
🏛️ The Jefferson Hotel — historic, grand, and genuinely stunning
🏙️ Omni Richmond Hotel — central, reliable, no surprises
🎨 Graduate Richmond — quirky, fun, great for the vibe-seekers
🛎️ Richmond Marriott — modern, comfortable, and well-located downtown with easy access to both the ceremony and reception venues
Prefer your own space? Richmond has excellent Airbnb options scattered across some really charming neighborhoods.
A Note to Our Traveling Guests Honestly? We're just so glad you're coming. Richmond is one of those cities that surprises people — great food, gorgeous history, walkable neighborhoods, and plenty to fill a long weekend. We hope you leave a little bit in love with it, too. 🤍
